Jacob & Hefner Associates, Inc. expands into the Seattle Market

Seattle, WA – Jacob & Hefner Associates (JHA Environmental, Inc.) is excited to announce the opening of our Seattle office. John Parkes P.E., QSP/QSD will oversee our operations as the Regional Manager. John has been with JHA for over 12 years. He is a Civil Engineer with over 22 years of experience in the field of environmental engineering, remediation, storm water and construction management. John has significant expertise in soil and groundwater remediation design, field engineering and construction oversight, installation of remedial systems, and operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OMM) of various remedial systems. Additionally, John has significant experience involving storm water compliance and treatment.
George Hagan Washington CESCL Certification # 80244, Nevada CEM # 1824 has joined the firm as our Remediation Manager for this region. George will head the new JHA office in the state of Washington area. George is a Remediation Manager with over 22 years of remediation experience serving our environmental consultants and aerospace clients. George has extensive experience working on Superfund sites, performing remediation, maintaining compliance and working with Principal Related Parties (PRPs).
Edward Batlle, Vice President of JHA commented, “This has been a long term goal to expand our services in the upper West Coast. We are very excited to work with our existing clients and new opportunities that reside in the Washington market.”

todd-web-rezDowners Grove, IL – Jacob & Hefner Associates would like to announce that Todd Huffer has joined the company as a Regional Manager of Environmental Health and Safety Services. With the new addition to the JHA team, the following services are now available in Illinois and the Midwest region:

  • Lead-Based Paint Consulting Services
  • Indoor Air Quality Surveys
  • Environmental Compliance Training
  • OSHA Air Monitoring Services

Todd Huffer has over 16 years of consulting experience in the Environmental Health and Safety industry performing asbestos inspections, lead-based paint inspections, and indoor air quality surveys. He works closely with clients to ensure they are in compliance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations as well as keeping them within schedule and budget. Prior to joining Jacob and Hefner Associates Inc., Mr. Huffer managed high profile clients such as Chicago Public Schools and Chicago Park District as well as managed the asbestos program for the University of Chicago.

Mr. Huffer has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Health from Illinois State University and is an Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) licensed Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Project Manager, Asbestos Air Sampling Professional and Asbestos Management Planner, and Lead-Based Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor. He is also 40 hour HAZWOPER training certified and 30 hour OSHA training certified.
