Jacob & Hefner Associates is excited to announce that Stephanie Laughlin has joined the team as the Dallas Regional Manager to expand our footprint into the Texas market. She brings 20 years of civil engineering experience and has focused her talents on various site development project types. Some projects of note include the Virgin Hotel located in the Dallas Design District and the East Quarter Re-Development on the east side of Downtown Dallas. Her accolades include 2010 Building Design + Construction’s “40 under 40,” 2014 Alumni of the Associate Leadership Class (ALC) with The Real Estate Council (TREC), ALC Steering Committee Member, Board Member of the ACE Mentor Program of DFW and 2019 Alumni of the Fellowship of Executive Leaders program with TREC. John Parkes P.E., QSP/QSD will oversee our operations as the Regional Manager. John has been with JHA for over 12 years. He is a Civil Engineer with over 22 years of experience in the field of environmental engineering, remediation, storm water and construction management. John has significant expertise in soil and groundwater remediation design, field engineering and construction oversight, installation of remedial systems, and operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OMM) of various remedial systems. Additionally, John has significant experience involving storm water compliance and treatment.
George Hagan Washington CESCL Certification # 80244, Nevada CEM # 1824 has joined the firm as our Remediation Manager for this region. George will head the new JHA office in the state of Washington area. George is a Remediation Manager with over 22 years of remediation experience serving our environmental consultants and aerospace clients. George has extensive experience working on Superfund sites, performing remediation, maintaining compliance and working with Principal Related Parties (PRPs).

With the new addition to the JHA team, the following services are now available in Illinois and the Midwest region:

Todd Huffer has over 16 years of consulting experience in the Environmental Health and Safety industry performing asbestos inspections, lead-based paint inspections, and indoor air quality surveys. He works closely with clients to ensure they are in compliance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations as well as keeping them within schedule and budget. Prior to joining Jacob and Hefner Associates Inc., Mr. Huffer managed high profile clients such as Chicago Public Schools and Chicago Park District as well as managed the asbestos program for the University of Chicago.

Mr. Huffer has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Health from Illinois State University and is an Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) licensed Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Project Manager, Asbestos Air Sampling Professional and Asbestos Management Planner, and Lead-Based Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor. He is also 40 hour HAZWOPER training certified and 30 hour OSHA training certified.

Lombard, IL — Jacob and Hefner Associates, Inc. unveiled on November 13, 2013 a rebranded identity, launching it on a completely redesigned website. The new logo and mark serve to evolve the company’s visual identity as its business lines have expanded regionally to multiple states, including its Environmental Services, originally founded in California, which have recently been rolled out to the company’s Illinois offices.

Along with the new visual identity is a reinvigorated mission centered around the phrase “building to last,” continuing the firm’s focus on building trust and delivering quality, both for the long term. To spearhead the roll out of the rebranding, JHA produced a video called “Built To Last” with the goal of explaining to existing and new prospective clients exactly what quality means to the firm, and the way in which it inspires them to deliver work and build relationships that will stand the test of time.
